Sorted’s Importance

It’s natural for households with busy lifestyles & limits on time or mobility to develop outgrown, catch-all, or barely-maneuverable spaces. They are the overwhelming gray-zones or “Where’s Waldo?” pages of my clients’ lives & I empathize.

Seeing the season, store, task, or reminder attached to each item — it clutters the space & it clutters the mind. I offer an analytical pair of fresh eyes & rolled sleeves with the time, energy & intent to re-claim these spaces; it’s what my brain feels wired to do & enjoy..

Soon after we get started, my clients often have the tangible & mental space to work on long-awaited personal projects. It gives me joy & fulfillment to celebrate these goals together & to jumpstart improvements for healthier environments!

Who to expect

Energetic, supportive, resourceful, always excited to visit my clients’ homes & honored to work in their personal spaces & memories. Terms like southernly casual, neighborly, cool-aunt or young-grandma fit me well! Also slightly rugged & almost-impervious to being grossed-out. Contrasting my corporate experience, my approach is “grassroots” rather than “professional.”

When someone is nervous showing me their catch-all rooms/closets/ offices, they’re respectfully reminded I’m encouraged by sorting out what overwhelms them, it’s my talent! I work in sites abandoned after years of habitual clutter — like the home I adore & dwell in now. Often encountering odd collections, food in unlikely places, animal refuse, the rainbow of mold/film & unbothered in sites occupied with local flora & fauna. This reminder helps them, too.

Privacy

Most heavily, my referrals come word-of-mouth. This online presence is a necessity — it’s intent to share contact info & resources. Valuing Respect & Privacy in each home unconditionally, Sorted lacks a gallery of before/after photos to browse. All photos used are from mine/my family’s properties; Client homes will never feature on any Sorted format. The only exception being the express encouragement & confirmation from my client to do so as an act of generosity.
